Michael Jaques

24, of Oxford, formerly Camden, passed away Friday, April 19, 2024.

He was born August 29, 1999, in Middletown, to Matthew J. and Jean (Might) Jaques.

He was preceded in death by his mom, Jean; and sister, Benji.

Michael is survived by his dad, Matthew Jaques; siblings, Cathy Dull, Julie (Matt) Caylor, Joyce Abner, David (Jenina) Jaques, Adam Jaques, and Sara Jaques; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Michael's journey began at Preble Shawnee High School, where he graduated with the Class of 2018. With a gift that knew no bounds, Michael could effortlessly play any musical instrument that crossed his path, but it was his mastery of the guitar that truly captivated those around him.  Beyond the notes, Michael found enjoyment in the freedom of skateboarding. Whether he was gliding through the streets or executing daring tricks at the skate park, his passion for the sport was infectious.  In addition to his musical and athletic pursuits, Michael had a profound love for the arts. His talent extended beyond music, as he possessed a keen eye for drawing and a flair for creativity.

A visitation will be held Friday, April 26 from 10AM to 11AM at PREBLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL CENTER, West Alexandria.  The funeral service will begin at 11AM with Pastor Jim High officiating.  Michael will be laid to rest next to his sister, Benji, at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.
