Michael E. Darney

Michael Edward Darney, 56, of New Lebanon, OH, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 22, 2018. Born September 12, 1961, he was the son of the late Barbara Jane Darney and Edward Cook. He formerly worked as a truck driver for Jeff Landis Trucking. He loved riding his motorcycle and enjoyed NASCAR. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother Bussie. Survived by long life companion Robin Osborne; son Tyler Darney and companion Ashley; daughter Latasha Spurlock; sister Debbie Knight; special niece Heather; great nephews Dylan and Brandon; great nieces Jayla, Brooke and Breana; aunts Shirley Damron and Carol (Dave) Lock; uncle Red; cousinSherry (Steve) Rich; special cousins Bubba, Little Dave and Mikie; along with numerous other family and a host of friends. Mike was looking forward to the birth of Tyler and Ashley's baby. The gender reveal party happened on the day Mike passed. Their baby would be Mike's first grandson. Friends may call on the family from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM Thursday, July 26, 2018 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 West Alexandria. Immediately following the visitation, the funeral will be held at the graveside (Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery) with Pastor Jerry Carter presiding.
