Mary E. Shockley

Mary E. Shockley, age 74, of Lewisburg, OH, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, November. 3, 2013 at her home. Mary was one of eleven children born to the late Willie & Mamie (Shepherd) Thacker and grew up in eastern Kentucky. Mary was a devoted wife, loving mother and doting grandmother who was deeply devoted to her family. She is preceded in death by both her parents: husband Burl D. Shockley on September 5, 1994: son Mikeal A. Shockley on June 28, 2010: brother Ray Thacker and sisters Lou Ella Erwin and Cora Jane Mattox. Mary is survived by children Terry D. Shockley & companion Sheila of Lewsiburg; Glenn A. Shockley & wife Michelle of Lisbon, OH; Dewayne Shockley & companion Melissa of Dayton, OH; and Randy M. Shockley of Lewisburg: grandchildren Leia Collins, Joshua Shockley, Jennifer Shockley, Dustin Collins, Heather Shockley, Zach Shockley, Luke Shockley, Nathan Shockley and Paul Shockley: 11 great grandchildren: brothers and sisters Stewart (Dimple) Thacker of Rock Island, TN; John Thacker of Dayton; Elizabeth Smith of Dayton; Clarence Thacker of Dayton; Clyde Thacker of Dayton; Curtis (Laura) Thacker of Dayton; and Ida (Jim) Pecqueux of Kettering, OH: sister-in-law Cheryl Thacker of Moraine, OH. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Friday, November 8, 2013 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria. Pastor Stanley Angel presiding. Friends may call on the family from 5:00 - 8:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
