Mary C Garrett

Mary C. Garrett, 69, of West Alexandria, OH, passed away Monday morning, May 26, 2014. Mary was a daughter of the late Vernal & Jean (Hall) Kazee. An active and longtime member of the West Alexandria Church of the Brethren, she served many years as a Church Camp Counselor at Woodland Altars. She loved cooking and gardening and was a band parent at TVS for many years. She was a member of Coterie of West Alexandria; and retired after 40 years of service as a Registered Nurse for Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton. Survived by husband of 38 years Dan Garrett: daughters Sarah Friedrich & husband Joe of Columbus, OH; and Katie Garrett of West Alexandria: grandchildren Danny and Hannah Friedrich: sister and brother Cheryl Oliver & husband Ken of West Alexandria; and James Kazee & wife Dee of Gilbert AZ: and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, May 31, 2014 at the West Alexandria Church of the Brethren - 22 E. Oak - West Alexandria. Pastor Brody Rike presiding. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Church following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton. Arrangements entrusted to the Robert L.
