Mary J. Brandenburg, 94, of Castine, OH, went to heaven on Sunday evening, January 6, 2019 at VanCrest Health Center in Eaton. Born July 27, 1924 in Salem, OH, she was a daughter of the late Harlow and Myrtle Pearl (Adams) Dildine. Mary had worked as a switchboard operator for United Telephone in Richmond, IN and from 1968 - 1975 at Dayton Flexible Products, Eaton. She was a 57 year member of the First Church of God in Eaton where she taught Sunday School for 52 years. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by step mother Lillian Ruth Dildine; half brothers and half sister John William Dildine, Anna Dildine, Walter Raub, Lawrence Raub, Glen Raub and Ted Raub. Survived by husband of 73 years Tom Brandenburg whom she married January 9, 1946; children Thomas Ray Soper and wife Jacqueline of Greenville, Sharyl Falldorf and husband Terry of Lewisburg, Rebecca Hunt and husband Rick of Greenville, and David Brandenburg and wife Suellen of Greenville; 11 grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren; sisters Wanda Rebecca Adams of Witchita, KS and Mable Lucille Barga. Friends may call on the family on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the First Church of God - 601 E. Lexington Rd. - Eaton. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM with Pastors Jonathan Grubbs and Jerry Reynolds presiding. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Church.
