Martha Straszheim

Martha A. Straszheim, age 98, of New Paris, OH, went home to be with the Lord on Monday evening, December 31, 2012. Born in Eaton, OH, she was a daughter of the late Fred & Ella (Davis) Koppe. She was a member of the Eaton Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by beloved husband of 60 years, John W. Straszheim on January 16, 1993; parents Fred & Ella; brother George Koppe and sister Marguerite Fultz: 3 sons-in-law: 1 daughter-in-law: 1 grandchild, 1 great grandchild and 1 great great grandchild. Martha is survived by 5 children, sons Edward E. Straszheim of Eaton; and Rodger W. Straszheim & wife Paula of New Paris: daughters Dorothy E. Swope of Eaton; Catherine P. Barrett of Lexington, KY; and Patricia A. Sizemore of Eaton: 16 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, 37 great great grandchildren, and 4 great great great grandchildren. Friends may call on the family from 4:00 - 7:00 PM Thursday, January 3, at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Lowell T. Spencer presiding. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
