Lonnie E. Hall

Lonnie E. Hall, 77, of Dayton, OH passed away Sunday afternoon, Octoboer 28, 2018. Born September 29, 1941, he was a son of the late James and Martha (Denney) Hall. Lonnie retired after 30 years as a maintenance superintendent for the Dayton Metropolitan Housing Authority. A member of the 348-409 Organization, he loved to restore and drag race older cars. He was also a former member of the NHRA. A member of the Vandalia Masonic Lodge # 742, the Scottish Rite of Dayton and St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Butler Township. In addition to his parents, Lonnie is preceded in death by son Steven M. Hall on October 4, 1997, granddaughter Stevie Michelle Hall in 1998, and sister Linda Barefoot. Survived by wife Marianne (Stanton) Hall whom he married April 20, 1963; son and daughter-in-law Scott and Karen Hall of Lewisburg; grandchildren Shannen Shively and husband Chad of Lewisburg and Emily McDonald and husband Dymond of Los Angeles, CA; great grandchildren Delaney Shively, Owen Shively, Ryan Shively and Maddyn McDonald; brother Larry Hall and wife Mary of Vandalia; and brother-in-law Dick Barefoot of Bowling Green, KY. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, November 2, 2018 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 USRt. 35 - West Alexandria. Corey Simpson will officiate. Friends may call on the family from 5:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Masonic services will be held at 7:45 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Burial Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.
