Lola Sams

Lola M. Sams, 93, of Camden, OH, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, December 23, 2012. Born in Oxford, OH, she was a daughter of the late Samuel L. & Flora E. (Root) Groves. She worked many years as a beautician in Camden and also as the manager for the snack counter at Preble Lanes in Eaton. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband Urban B. Sams on November 29, 1992: brothers and sisters Harold, Byron, Samuel, John and James Groves; Mary Jane Groves and Grace Greg: great grandson Kory Sams: and son-in-law Douglas Armstrong. Survived by children Sandra L. Miller & husband Dale of Camden; Deborah Armstrong of Camden; and William Sams & wife Betty of Eaton, OH: 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren: sisters and brother Freda Stephens of Eaton; Ruth Stevens of Oxford, OH; and Herbert Groves of Lake Havasu. Friends may call on the family from 12:00 - 1:00 PM Friday, December 28, 2012 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM with Pastor Greg Jackson presiding. Burial Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.
