Lois Jean Burke

81, previously residing in West Alexandria, Ohio, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023, in Falls Church, Virginia.

Lois was born March 28, 1942, to Charles and Julia Dynes. She was a career employee with AT&T, starting in Dayton, then taking her to Cincinnati and Atlanta.  She retired from AT&T in 2001.

Lois enjoyed spending time with her family and visiting new places with her daughter, Terry. She also loved puzzles, tending to the yard, and sitting outside on the screened porch enjoying nature. Lois had a great love for her pets, Charlie (cat) and Ollie (dog).

She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Kellogg, and son, Robert Burke, her grandchildren Matthew Burke, his wife Emily, and great grandchildren Charlie and Luke; Lindsey Jurca and her husband, Andrei; Michael Burke; and Alexander Kellogg, and his fiancé Jen Tresnan; and her siblings Charles Lawrence Dynes, Judy Soifer-Bethke and spouse Bill Bethke, Ronald Overholt and Linda Lightner.

She is preceded in death by her mother Julia Dynes, father Charles Dynes and stepmother Mary Jane Dynes, sisters-in-law Linda Overholt and Alberta Dynes, and brother-in-law Richard Lightner.
