Linda S. Grubbs

70, of Eaton, went to be with the Lord, Monday, November 1, 2021.

She was born December 26, 1950 in Jamestown, New York, to the late Burnell William Mee and Helen Louise (Carr) Snye.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by husband, Russell Grubbs; sister, Pauline; and best friend, Sandy Howard.

She is survived by her children, James E. (Terri) Ball, Wanda S. (Mike) Knox, Sean (Angela) Grubbs, Audrey V. Grubbs, and Michelle M. Grubbs; grandchildren, John, Ashley, and Eric Mustaine, Brittany and Michael Knox, and Dustin Cole; great grandchildren, Jordan, Nadia, Aniya, JonYale, Jonathan, Cessaly, Shaniya, Addilyn, Leelyon, Eric Jr., and Rayne; great-great grandchild, Willow; siblings, Burnell Mee Jr., Denny Snye, and Harvey Snye Jr.

Linda worked at Community Concepts for many years, and she brought light to the disabled residents. Also, she worked many years in various restaurants. She was an amazing cook and would take a little bit of nothing and turn it into a homemade feast to feed everyone. She loved to take vacations and go on Cruise Ships throughout the world. Her favorite vacation spots were Gatlinburg Tennessee and DollyWood. She was known as the Yard Sale Queen because she would have sales all year round. Some of her hobbies were playing rummy and poker, shopping, watching movies, decorating, and playing scratch off lottery tickets. Linda had a twinkle in her eye and a zest for life. She was hilarious and enjoyed bringing laughter to others. She was a lady with purpose, and she worked hard to care for her family and self.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 9 from 11AM to 1PM at PREBLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL CENTER, 3377 US Route 35 East, West Alexandria.  The funeral service will begin at 1PM with John Elam officiating.  Burial will follow at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.
