Linda Sue Creech, a beloved wife, mother, grandma and great grandma, age 74, of Lewisburg, OH., passed away peacefully, with her family by her side on Friday December 15th, 2023 has gone to be with the Lord. Linda was born in Dayton, OH to Karl and Hazel (White) McCabe on February 21, 1949.
Linda was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Union Ohio, where her faith played a central role in her life. An avid reader, Linda found solace and inspiration in mystery novels and the Bible. Her active involvement in the church community was a testament to her unwavering commitment to her faith.
A true artisan, Linda was a talented crocheter who crafted beautiful afghans that became cherished heirlooms. Her culinary skills were equally impressive, and she was renowned for her ability to whip up delicious meals from scratch. Family and friends will forever savor the memory of Linda's world-famous popcorn, a treat she took great pride in preparing from her old popcorn maker.
Linda and her loving husband shared a lifetime of adventures together. They traveled far and wide, creating a tapestry of memories that will be cherished by those who had the privilege of joining them on their journeys. Linda's spirit of exploration extended to her hobbies as well, as she passionately collected antiques and enjoyed “treasure hunting” with her trusty metal detector.
Nature held a special place in Linda's heart, and she spent countless hours walking in the woods with her grandchildren, collecting rocks, some that she would later tumble into polished treasures others she would adorn her home and landscape with… she collected rocks big and small. Puzzles of all kinds brought her joy, with a particular fondness for crosswords and jigsaw puzzles.
Above all, Linda's greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted and loving wife, a nurturing mother, and a doting grandma and great grandma. Her warm smile and caring nature touched the lives of everyone around her, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to call her family and friends.
Linda Sue Creech's legacy of love, faith, and adventure will live on in the hearts and memories of those who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the warmth of the love she so generously shared with the world.
