Letetia Anna "Tish" Rawles, 69, passed away Thursday morning, August 31, 2017 at the Laurels of Mt. Vernon in Mt. Vernon, OH, following an extended illness. Tish was born February 28, 1948 in Dyersburg, TN. She was a 1965 graduate of Indian Lake High School in Logan County, OH, and went on to earn her Bachelors Degree in Counseling from Cleveland State University. A kind, loving and gentle soul, she spent most of her career teaching in various Catholic Schools. She had a heart and a passion to inform, educate and combat human trafficking. She was ordained as a Catholic Priest in 2015 and became a member of the Association of Roman Catholic Women Priests. Following her ordination, her ministry became helping residents of her retirement communities with transition and grief issues. She had a wonderful laugh and smile and, wherever she was, touched the lives and hearts of many people. Tish will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. In addition to a host of friends, she is survived by a cousin Jim Ford, his wife Kelly and their son Colton, all of Dyersburg, TN. In accordance with her wishes and in keeping with her Native American traditions, Tish was buried in the green burial section of Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery in West Alexandria, OH following a brief ceremony. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place in July of 2018 at the Annual Meeting of the ARCWP. Arrangements entrusted to the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center, West Alexandria.
