Lena M. Belcher

Lena M. Belcher, 91, of New Lebanon, OH, passed away Friday morning, August 4, 2017. Born January 19, 1926 in Kegley, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Rachel (Veneable) Crotty. Lena retired in 1982 after 25 years with General Motors Inland Division, having worked at both the Dayton and Vandalia plants. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Farmersville, OH. Family was everything to Lena. She loved being a wife, mother and grandmother; and enjoyed cooking, gardening, picnics, roadside markets and her home. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband Jack Belcher on December 31, 2010; son Jack A. "Pete" Belcher on August 22, 2013; daughters Terri Lynn Belcher on March 4, 2017 and Jeanette Leaker on March 15, 2017; brother and sisters Harold Crotty, Iris Beckner and Lois Jones. Lena is survived by children Judy Adams and husband Logan of New Lebanon; Diana Dunlap and husband Jack of New Lebanon; Steven Belcher and wife Michele of Byron, GA: "Nana" to grandchildren Carrie Colleen, Joe, Michele and Steffany and great grandchildren Chloe and Sofia: sister and brothers Betty Thomason of Princeton, WV; Stanley Crotty of New Lebanon; and James Crotty of Anaheim, CA: numerous nieces and nephews: along with special friends Charlotte Williams and Becky and Alvie Sandlin. Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH. Pastor Tom Vorhis presiding.
