Leland “Lee” L. Hart

Leland L. "Lee" Hart, Sr., 86, of Dayton, OH and formerly of West Alexandria, OH, passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2018. Born March 5, 1932 in Corbin, KY, he was a son of the late Eugene F. and Carman R. (Goodin) Hart. Lee retired in 1990 after 28 + years as a machine operator for Modern Industrial Plastics, working first at the Dayton Plant and later at the Brookville Plant He came back to Ohio after living in Tennessee and Kentucky following the passing of his wife. He was still able to enjoy fishing and loved spending time with his grandchildren and their families. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by beloved wife Mary (Newsom) Hart on August 11, 2008; son Leland L. Hart, Jr. in September of 1993; daughter Barbara Ann Stidham in March of 1995; brother Artman F. Hart; sisters Eva M. Reed, Bonnie A. Kinser and Irene Fogel. Survived by daughters Debra Kay Welling of Morristown, TN and Bonnie Lee McKee of Dayton; 9 grandchildren; numerous great and great great grandchildren; brother Liberty H. "Hugh" Hart of Milton, FL; and close friends John Rogers and Les Worley. Friends may call on the family from 12:00 - 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with burial to follow at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.
