Lawrence Jones

Lawrence W. Jones, age 95, of New Lebanon, OH, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday afternoon, January 5, 2011. Born June 12, 1915 in Marion, OH, he was a son of the late John W. & Emma E. (Niediermaier) Jones. A US Navy veteran of WW II, he retired from the Delco Air Conditioning Plant in Dayton after 30+ years of service. He earned his private pilot's license and loved to fly. He enjoyed playing Euchre and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Moraine. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by daughter Janice Farmer: son Larry Allen Jones: step son Dale R. Jones: sisters Louella and Mabel Jones: brothers Charles, John and Walter Jones. Survived by wife of 39 years Betty J. (Yost) Jones: children Loren (Marian) Jones of Oregonia, OH: and Judy Dull of Dayton: step children Judy Fugate of Dayton; David (Deborah) Jones of Hendersonville, TN; Janice (Roger) Cimino of Gradyville, KY; Irene Haupt (Rob Brown) of Union, OH; and Linda C. (Steven) Gale of Homestead, FL: 19 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren: 6 nephews.
