Larry E. Young

Larry E. Young, 69, of Eaton, OH, passed away early Monday morning, April 8, 2019 following a lengthy illness. Born January 24, 1950, he was a son of the late Willie B. and Ina (Bell) Young. He served stateside during the Vietnam War from 1969 - 1971 with the 4th MP Co., Sixth US Army. He was a minister for 35 years with the Lewisburg Church of God and enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and hunting. He worked at different occupations which included Excel Logistics for 7 years and as a security guard at Miami Valley Hospital for 11 years. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death on February 11, 2008 by wife of 35 years Sharon (Mobley) Young: brother Raymond Young: sister Evelyn McCormick: and an infant brother. He is survived by children Ranice Baker and husband Jerry of Eaton; Anita Stevens of Huber Heights; previous son-in-law Phillip Hall of West Alexandria: grandchildren Stacy (Kevin) Melling, Louann (Kwende) Baker, and Phillip Levi Hall:great grandchildren Contessa (David) Melling, Kassidy (Saul) Jaime, Tierrah Crutcher, Kevin Melling, Jr., Kaitlyn (Samantha) Crutcher, Karrissa (Summer) Crutcher: siblings Frances Evans (Young) of Eaton, Louise (Charles) Mobley of Eaton, Paul (Jeannie) Young of Camden, Bill (Cathy) Harris of Eaton; along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends and church family. Friends may call on the family from 5:00 - 8:00 PM Friday, April 12, 2019 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35; West Alexandria. Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Saturday with Pastor Luther "Junior" Cummings presiding. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help the family with funeral expenses.
