Kenneth L. Ruebush

Kenneth L. Ruebush, age 87, of Brookville, OH, passed away Monday evening, December 1, 2014 at his Perry Township home following an extended illness. Born in Germantown, OH, he was a son of the late Lester & Lela (Palmer) Ruebush. He proudly served with the Merchant Marine from 1944 - 1945 and later with the US Army near the end of WW II.Mr. Ruebush worked 15 years for Fishel Construction and then as a farmer for 40+ years in Perry Township. A member of the Ellerton Church of the Brethren and former member of the Farmersville Masonic Lodge. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by children Tommy and Bonnie Ruebush as young children: grandson Aurel Collins, Jr. In 1995: brothers Richard, Emerson and Norman Ruebush: sisters Mary J. Barton, Martha Kubander and Stella Brentlinger. Survived by wife Alice C. (Bremer) Ruebush whom he married August 22, 1946: daughter Connie Collins & husband Aurel of West Alexandria, OH; son Bill Ruebush & wife Margaret of West Alexandria: grandchildren Mike Collins & wife Deadra of West Alexandria; Kristina Egbert & husband Scott of Botkins, OH; Amber Kimbell & husband Jim of West Alexandria; and Tami Jo Ruebush of Texas: special great grandson Chod Collins and numerous other great grandchildren: brother Ted Ruebush of Farmersville, OH: and sister Shirley Ducker of Texas: close friends Lloyd (dec'd.) & Ethel Anderson; Jim & Carol Sollenberger; Paul & Dorothy (dec'd.) Shock; Herb & Pat Boyer. Friends may call on the family from 12:30 - 2:00 pm Friday, December 5, 2014 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm.
