Kenneth P. Chappel

Kenneth P. Chappel, 53, of Eaton, OH, died suddenly on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from injuries received in a work related accident. Born February 1, 1965, he was the youngest of six children born to Robert L. and Nancy Jean (Killen) Chappel. A member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 18, Kenny was a heavy equipment operator currently working for Coppage Construction of Independence, KY. He had previously worked for 30+ years as a truck driver with several carriers, including Brown Transport. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, was a member of the Baptist Church and was known to do some street preaching. He is preceded in death by his father Robert Chappel in 1994, and brother John Chappel in 1981. A proud grandpa, he was a beloved son, father, grandfather and brother. His family agreed that he was the glue behind the family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him. Survived by sons Kenny P. Chappel, Jr. and wife Angel of Eaton, and Kevin L. Chappel of Hamilton, OH; mother Nancy Jean Chappel of Camden, OH; grandsons Levi, Ethan and Miles Chappel; girlfriend Amy J. Adams of West Alexandria, OH; brothers and sisters Robert L. Chappel of Lewisburg, OH, Kathy Hunt and Robin Oneill, both of New Paris, OH, and Joe Chappel ofPendleton, IN; along with many nieces and nephews. Friends may call on the family from 2:00 - 3:00 PM Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria.
