Joyce E. Parker

Joyce E. Parker, 77, of West Alexandria, OH, went home to be with the Lord on Monday morning, April 17, 2017. Born March 6, 1940 in West Alexandria, she was the daughter of the late George Orville and Cora Louise (Winkleman) Carico. She was a longtime, faithful member of Community Christian Church in West Alexandria, and had previously worked with the family business, Rite-Way Black & Deburr, Inc. in Dayton. She loved her family and her church with all her heart, and was a huge fan of UK Basketball. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband Cecil Parker in 2007, and sister Judy Raybourne. Survivors include son Tim Hamm and wife Donna of Richmond, IN; daughter Beverly Hamm Messer of West Alexandria; grandsons Kyle Hamm of Columbus, OH and Ryan Labree of Bradenton, FL; granddaughter Brittany Baker of Richmond, IN; step daughter Diane Spencer and husband Mike of West Alexandria; step grandchildren Michael (Sherry) Spencer, Jared Parker and Zach Parker all of West Alexandria; 2 great grandchildren and step great grandchildren; sisters Ruth Carico and Janet Fritts both of Eaton, OH; and brothers Tom Carico of West Alexandria and Stanley (Donna) Carico of FL; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call on the family from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM Friday, April 21, 2017 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM with Pastors Chad Loveless and Doug Bottles presiding. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Community Christian Church.
