Joyce A. Gilbert

Joyce A . Gilbert, 74, of Arcanum, OH, passed away on Sunday night January 13, 2019. Born December 23, 1944 in New Paris, OH, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Carrie (Beach) Coben. She was a member of the Family of God Ministries in Arcanum, loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. They called her the "Kissing Grandma". She enjoyed working puzzles and puzzle books. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by grandchildren Steven Gilbert and Rachel Brown; and brother and sister Charles Coben and Pansie Baker. Joyce is survived by beloved husband Donald R. Gilbert whom she married November 21, 1964; children Lonzo Hunley and wife Karen of Auburn, NY, Bryan Gilbert and wife Kasey of Greenville, Donna Hamilton of Greenville, Donald J. Gilbert of Greenville, David Gilbert and wife Stacy of Dallas, GA; grandchildren Christopher Brown, Donald Douglas Gilbert, Aaron Gilbert, Shaina Shell, Amber Myers, Preston Gilbert, Zach Gilbert, Eva Ann Gilbert, Lexie Gilbert, Kyler Gilbert, Tommy Hunley, Emily Hunley and Lindsay Hunley; great grandchildren Trinity Gilbert, Azaria Stokes, Matthew Stokes, Owen Gilbert, Ayden Gilbert, Serena Raven Brown, Hailie Gilbert, Elissa Shell, Emma Shell and Isabella Shell. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH.
