Joshua R. Risner

Age 33 of Farmersville, OH, passed away peacefully December 24, 2021.  He was born September 5, 1988 to Jack and Margaret (Dafler) Risner in Dayton, OH.

Josh was a fun, nature loving family man that loved watching his nephews play sports. He graduated from Valley View High School in 2007 and became a park technician for Germantown Metro Parks from 2008-2014. He began working for Dynamic Dyes in Middletown in 2014 and enjoyed his job and coworkers. He was an avid golfer, online gamer and HUGE Duke basketball fan. He was such a Duke fan that he named his dog Duke.

Josh is preceded in death by his grandparents; Andrew and Sally Risner, and Russell Dafler; and his mother, Maggie. He is survived by his father Jack Risner, sister; Stephanie (Matt) Hodge, 3 nephews; Tyler Rhodes, Dawson Gottsch and Gavin Hodge, his beloved dog; Duke, numerous aunts, uncles, cousin on the Risner and King family.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at PREBLE MEMORY GARDENS. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 31, 2021 at 11:00AM at PREBLE MEMORY GARDENS with Jeff Erisman and Jay Ward officiating, burial will follow. Family asks that in lieu of flowers to make donations to: Farmersville Fire Department.
