Joseph “Joe” Gisewite
His passionate life began on January 25th, 1973, and ended on March 18th, 2024, in the early morning. Surrounded by loved ones, he peacefully entered into the hands of God.
It’s hard to say how much family Joe Gisewite left behind. He considered everyone family. His mother, Janet Gisewite; daughter, Stevie Roddy; sister, Kim (Wayne) Henson; brother, David (Wendy Martin) Gisewite; sister, Phyllis (Phil) Izor; grandchildren, Madi, Elias, and Maisie Roddy; special friend, Shelly; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins who will all miss him.
He was preceded in death by father, Dale Gisewite.
Joe was a man who embraced life with unwavering gusto, finding joy in the simple pleasures that surrounded him. Among his many passions, none were more cherished than the rumble of his beloved Harley-Davidson motorcycle as it traversed the open road.
Yet, Joe's love for the great outdoors extended far beyond the asphalt. He found peace and tranquility in the gentle rhythm of the waves while boating, and in the golden hues of sunsets that painted the sky. Beaches held a special allure for him, offering moments of serenity amidst the chaos of everyday life.
Joe found joy in the thrill of the catch, casting his line into the depths in pursuit of the next big fish. His love for fishing was surpassed only by his love for family and friends, for whom he reserved a special place in his heart. Joe never met a stranger, effortlessly forging connections with those he encountered along life's journey.
Joe lived each day to its fullest, embracing every moment with enthusiasm and joy. His greatest source of pride and happiness was found in his role as a devoted dad and papa, cherishing every opportunity to create lasting memories with his loved ones.
