John A. Taylor, 82, of Huber Heights, OH and formerly of Eaton, OH, passed away on Sunday evening, November 25, 2018. He was born in Preble County, OH on January 3, 1936 to the late James W. and Hattie Taylor. John served for 3 years with the US Army from 1954-1957. He retired after 41 years from Dayton Power and Light and also had his own wood craft business for many years. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by infant son John A. Taylor, Jr.; sisters Allena Myers-Conley and Maxine Gray; brothers Harold, Don, Jim and Bob Taylor. Survived by wife of 54 years Ruth; sons Terry Taylor and Greg (Sherri) Taylor all of Eaton; daughter Diann (Jonathon) Barlow of Huber Heights; grandson Bryan of Columbus, OH; granddaughters Courtney and Ashley Barlow of Huber Heights; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Friends may call on the family from 2:00 - 3:00 PM Sunday, December 2, 2018 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH. A memorial service will follow at 3 :00 PM with Pastor Marty McMichael presiding. The family requests, that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimers Association or a charity of your choice. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of John A.
