John Patterson

John Patterson, 94, of Eaton, OH, passed away peacefully at his home with family by his side. Born February 9, 1917 in Clay County, KY, he was a son of the late Charles & Katherine (Bennett) Patterson. A proud veteran of WW II, he served with the US Navy aboard the USS John M. Bermingham. He retired as a welder from Rexarc Corp. In West Alexandria. A charter member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Camden, OH, he was currently a member of the Northview Baptist Church in Hillsboro, OH. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death on October 10, 2011 by beloved wife Lela (Sasser) Patterson: sisters Josie, Tabitha, Fannie and Mary Bell: and brothers Roscoe and Willie. Survived by children & their spouses James & Carol Patterson of Springfield, OH; Joyce & Robert Bowersock of Eaton; and John & Mary Patterson of Brentwood, TN: 9 grandchildren, 8 spouses of grandchildren, and 14 grear grandchildren: sister Rosa Lee and brother Charles. Friends may call on the family from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM Saturday, December 10, 2011at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Griffin presiding. Interment Fairview Cemetery, West Alexandria. Memorial contributions may be made to Vitas Hospice.
