Joe Buchholz
74, of Eaton, passed away, Monday, October 28, 2024.
He was born June 11, 1950, in Dayton, to the late William J. and Mildred A. (Orth) Buchholz.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Karen Buchholz; children, Crystal (Denny) Brashear, Bill (Angie) Daugherty, and Jessica (Timothy) Weirauch; six grandsons; three granddaughters; 14 great grandchildren; and many more family and friends.
Known for his unmatched ability to repair anything with an engine, Joe had a gift for breathing life back into old cars, tractors, and anything mechanical. People often brought him what seemed like hopeless, broken-down junk, only to have it returned to them running smooth—transformed into something as valuable as diamonds in their eyes.
When Joe wasn’t in his shop, he could be found enjoying the outdoors. He loved riding his Honda motorcycle, feeling the freedom of the open road. A skilled hunter and fisherman, Joe cherished the peace he found in the woods and on the water, always happiest when surrounded by nature. His hands were never idle, whether fixing engines or reeling in the day’s catch.
