84, of Eaton, formerly Morning Sun and Darrtown, passed away Wednesday, September 13,2023.

He was born May 4, 1939 in Hamilton, to the late Edward L. and Harriet J. (Son) Kennedy.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his step-mom, Carol (Cottingim) Kennedy; and sister, Joyce Tolley.

He is survived by his daughters, Becky (Jerry) Brookshire, Debby Kennedy, and Donna (Buck) Kennedy-Burgher; 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brother, Dwayne Kennedy; half-siblings, Curtis Kennedy, Jennifer Schaeff, and Peggy May; former wife, Sandy Logan; special cousins, Carol and Norma Jean; and many more family and friends.

Jim was a beloved member of the family, known for his contagious laughter and quick wit. He had a joke for everything, bringing joy and laughter to everyone around him. His humor was truly one of a kind, leaving a mark on all who were fortunate enough to know him.

A true lover of the outdoors, Jim found immense happiness in waterskiing and boating on the serene waters of Dale Hollow and Lake Cumberland. The tranquility of the open water brought him comfort and a sense of freedom. He also cherished spending time camping, immersing himself in nature's embrace.

Jim’s cremated remains will be laid to rest with his parents at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery, West Alexandria at a later date.
