Jean (Caple) Rohrer Rogers, of New Lebanon, OH, faithful servant of the Lord in her earthly life, was received into heavenly glory on Friday, September 25, 2015 at the age of 88, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents Magnolia and Talbot Caple: her husband Dale Rohrer: her second husband Jerold Rogers: brother William Caple: and sister Helen Hastings Bozarth: nephews Gerry and Jimmy Caple: great granddaughter Sydney Osborn. Jean is survived by her four daughters Beverly (Ted) Denius; Brenda (Harley) Koeller; Dianna Rohrer Deeter; and Devonna Rogers Seger: grandchildren Shawn Cummins (his children Phillip, Chelsea, Mercedes and Trenton); Chanda McBride (her children Megan and Nathan); Kari (Jeff) Blair (her daughter Logan); Kelli (David) Hale (their children Hannah and Hudson); Jeanna (Mandy) Osborn (their children Riley and Jackson); Richard (Lauren) Denius (their sons Jaren and Kaden); Summer (Stephen) Hopler (their son John); Rebekah Seger (her daughter Melanie); Raychel (Justin) Lancaster Seger; and Luke Seger; beloved nieces Audra (Caple) Morrison and Phyllis (Hastings) Logel and their families. Jean was born August 3, 1927 in Crescent Springs, KY. She served as secretary of the Brethren Church in New Lebanon for over 25 years and later worked as a clerical substitute for Montgomery County Board of Developmental Disabilities for ten years. She was also a Sunday School teacher, Vacation Bible School teacher, counselor at Camp Bethany, officer of the Women's Missionary Society, Church Librarian, officer of the Brethren Heritage Center, and a soloist in the Church Choir. She was also actively involved in organizing Dixie High School Class Reunions. Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH. Pastor Rick Hartley presiding. Friends may call on the family from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Monday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Camp Bethany c/o The Brethren Church's Ohio Department of Christian Education. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
