Janice George

Janice D. George, 69, of Eaton, OH, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning August 28, 2011. Born in Eaton, she was a daughter to the late Thurman Allen & Hazel Mae (Neaves) Williams. As a wife, mother and homemaker, she also worked 17 years at Westvaco/International Paper Co. in Eaton, retiring in 1979. A devoted Elvis fan, she loved to watch different impersonators perform and was known to her pen pals on Yahoo Messenger as "Elvis Admirer". Janice also enjoyed the demolition derby races at the fairgrounds as was known in local CB circles by the handle "JD". In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband Francis D. George on September 10, 2000: brother Marvin Williams: and sister Rosie Miller. Survived by children Ricky D. George of Los Angeles, CA; Randy D. (Jamie) George; Lisa A. George-West; Gregory F. George; Janice D. Presley; and Jeffrey Thurman George all of Eaton: grandchildren Elizabeth, Nicholas and Brandon George, Caleb Durham, Tiffany and Aaron Presley: great granddaughter Taylor George: brothers Bob and Larry Williams: and sister Shirley Williams all of Eaton. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Friday, September 2, 2011 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35. Pastors Lowell T. Spencer and Arvil Dean will officiate. Friends may call on the family from 5:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Foundation.
