Janet H. Welcome

Janet H. Welcome, age 85, of Eaton, OH, went to be with the Lord on Friday morning, December 27, 2013. Born in Dayton, OH, she was a daughter of the late Robert & Lena (Eldridge) Smith. A loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Janet was a longtime member of the Plainview Open Bible Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by daughter Olivia Null: son Michael Welcome: brothers Robert and Charles Smith: and sisters Phyllis Cummins and Norma Pierce. Survived by husband Herald H. Welcome, whom she married July 1, 1967: children Gerald (Maria) Green of Miamisburg, OH; Norman (Sandra) Green of Eaton; Paul Welcome of Olathe, KS; Cathy (Charles) Brandenburg of Camden, OH; Lena (Rick) Perry of Martinsville, OH; and Shari (Wayne) Hoover of West Alexandria, OH: daughter-in-law Vicki Welcome of Cambridge City, IN; 17 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Friends may call on the family from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor Joshua Grimes presiding. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International. Burial Bear Creek/Hillgrove Cemetery.
