James “Jim” Garland Buckley

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James “Jim” Garland Buckley of Eldorado, Ohio, who passed away peacefully on November 16th at the age of 73.

Jim was born on December 26, 1950, in Richmond, Indiana and was the first graduation class of National Trail High School.  He had a long and successful career as a Class A Machinist for 45 years at Maul Technology.  He was known for his dedication and craftsmanship.  His work ethic and love for his trade earned him the respect of colleagues and friends alike. Beyond his professional life, Jim was a loving husband, devoted father, and proud grandfather.  He cherished his family and loved spending time with them.  He didn’t miss a ball game, not one!

He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 51 years, Mary (Gebers) Buckley; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Jessica Buckley; daughter, Christie Buckley; grandsons, Jared and Jake Buckley; granddaughters, Jamie (Todd), Ashley, and Breck Adams; grandchildren, Lane, Chance, and Savanna Staton; brother, Paul Buckley; sister, Virginia Buckley; son-in-law, John Adams; sister-in-law, Sharon Buckley; special cousins, Mike Buckley and Mary (David) Wesler; as well as many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Nancy Buckley; brother, Robert Buckley; twin brother, John and Kim Buckley; daughters, Cindy Adams and Lesa Buckley; grandsons, Jordan Buckley and Eric Adams; sister-in-law, Cheryl Buckley; and great-granddaughter, Alexis Adams.

Jim’s legacy of hard work, love, and kindness will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.

The family would like to thank Day City Hospice for their phenomenal care.

The visitation will be held Wednesday, November 20 from 12PM to 2PM at PREBLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL CENTER, West Alexandria.  The funeral service will begin at 2PM with Pastor Tony Price officiating.  Burial will follow at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.
