James R. Sporre

James "Jim" Robert Sporre, 83, of Kalkaska, passed away on June 27, 2017, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center's Eden Center. He was born on December 15, 1933, in Alpena, to the late Ronald and Bernice (Mason) Sporre. Jim married Ruchie A. Walden on July 11, 1970 in New Lebanon, Ohio. He and Ruchie moved to Kalkaska in 1974. He is survived by his wife of 46 years and children; Steven, Jeffrey, Deborah (Robert) Morrison, Diana (Bruce) Tavner, the mother of his children Sandra Mclllvain of West Alexandria, Ohio, 5 grandchildren; Misty, Andrew, Angela, Emily, Katara, 6 great grandchildren; Haleigh, Adam, Jude, Elijah, Heidi, Benjamin, brothers William (Gail) and Kenneth (Nancy) and many nieces and nephews. A visitation will take place on Friday, June 30, 2017 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center in West Alexandria, Ohio, beginning at 10:30am.
