James E. Rike

73 of Lewisburg passed away Sunday, Feb. 13th 2022 at his home.  Born in Dayton, OH on Oct. 1st, 1948 to the late Fred Rike and the late Edna (Grill) Rike, Hinton.  James spent the majority of his life working at Lewisburg Container and at the time of his death he was still working there part time.  James enjoyed time spent with his family.  He enjoyed scraping metals and recyclables, he was a collector and loved going to Pilot for his coffee, conversations with the staff and meeting new people.  Preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Landis Eldridge.  Survived by his daughters Paula Braughton, Pam (Charles) Lewis and Melissa Rike.  Siblings Linda (Marvin) Evans, Frank (Vicki) Rike, Sandy Eldridge and Rick (Bea) Rike.  Grandchildren Zachary, Michael, Timothy, Jacob, Dalton, Amanda, Austin and Emily.  Great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.  Best friend Raymond Howard and his friends at Pilot.  Graveside service will be held at 2pm March 3rd, 2022, at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
