James A. Pheanis, age 87, of Camden, OH, passed away Sunday morning, October 24, 2010 following an extended illness. Born May 9, 1923 in Camden, he was a son of the late George & Gertrude (Tanruther) Pheanis. He was a WW II veteran, serving in the US Navy for 6 years. Mr Pheanis retired as a production supervisor with NCR in Dayton after 25 years of service: was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Camden and life member of the Twin Valley Rod & Gun Club. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 1 brother and 1 sister. Survived by wife Evelyn L. (Rickard) Pheanis, whom he married on October 4, 1946: children Cynthia L. Parks of Eaton, OH; Gary L. Pheanis of Eldorado, OH; James D. Pheanis of Lewisburg, OH; and Stephen W. Pheanis of Camden: 4 grandchildren: sister Jean Ann Elmore of Florida.
