James Pheanis

James A. Pheanis, age 87, of Camden, OH, passed away Sunday morning, October 24, 2010 following an extended illness. Born May 9, 1923 in Camden, he was a son of the late George & Gertrude (Tanruther) Pheanis. He was a WW II veteran, serving in the US Navy for 6 years. Mr Pheanis retired as a production supervisor with NCR in Dayton after 25 years of service: was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Camden and life member of the Twin Valley Rod & Gun Club. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 1 brother and 1 sister. Survived by wife Evelyn L. (Rickard) Pheanis, whom he married on October 4, 1946: children Cynthia L. Parks of Eaton, OH; Gary L. Pheanis of Eldorado, OH; James D. Pheanis of Lewisburg, OH; and Stephen W. Pheanis of Camden: 4 grandchildren: sister Jean Ann Elmore of Florida. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center of West Alexandria, OH. Interment Fairmount Cemetery, Camden.
