James E. Combs, age 83, passed away in the early morning on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Hospice of Dayton. James spent 32 years at Delco Products in Kettering as Job Setter on the tube mill. He was Alternate Union Representative as well as a Sunday school teacher and Deacon at Grace Brethren Church in Brookville, OH and Sun Lakes Baptist Church in Arizona. In retirement, James was an avid golfer. He was a member of Farmersville First Baptist Church, and a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and will be deeply missed. He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Imogene Combs, son Lonnie Combs and brother George Combs. James is survived by his wife Marie (Osborn) Combs, who he married in December of 1975; daughter Vanessa Gray: step-children Chuck & Nancy Osborn; Rick & Joyce Osborn and Gary Osborn: grandchildren Chuck Gray; Alex Gray; Wesley Combs and Nikki Costello: as well as 7 step-grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren: siblings Earl & Dot Combs and Jerry & Marilyn Combs. Friends may call on the family from 10:00 AM- 12:00 noon on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center - 3377 US Rt 35, West Alexandria, OH- Service will follow at 12:00 noon.
