James E. Brown, age 69 of Eaton Ohio went peacefully to be with the Lord on Friday evening April 27, 2018. Born June 13, 1948 in Sinks Grove, West Virginia. He was the son of the late Edward J. And Sylvia (Hoke) Brown. U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. Jim had worked as a route salesman for Perfection Bakery for many years. A member of Eaton First Church of the Nazarene. For the last several years he had worked as a driver at Forest Park Nursing Home in Richmond, IN where he was a favorite driver of the residents. His last outing to the nursing home was to pass out Dilly Bars to the people he loved serving. Jim was a good neighbor and friend, he loved to laugh and enjoyed passing out vegetables from his garden. Jim was a wonderful husband who always put his bride first. Survived by wife of 48 years Marcia J (Brewer) Brown, whom he married December 20, 1969; sons James Brown Jr., of Dayton and Charles J. Brown of Eaton; daughter Mary E. Brown of Eaton; grandson Gabe J. Brown of Eaton; sister Lisa Robertson and brother Tom Brown both of Owensboro, KY. Friends may call on the family from 12:00 - 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at the Eaton First Church of the Nazarene - 201 E. Lexington Rd. - Eaton. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jim High presiding. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Church. Arrangements entrusted to the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center.
