James "Boomer" H. Boomershine

James H. "Boomer" Boomershine 76, of Eaton, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry W. Boomershine; mother, Lula (Smith) Floyd; brothers, Bob (Marsha) Boomershine, Bill Boomershine, Tom Boomershine; sister-in-law, Teresa McCown; brother-in-law, Glenn McTeer; mother-in-law, Margaret Leach; and father-in-law, Olen McTeer. Boomer is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Penny Boomershine; children, James H. Boomershine II, Angela (Timothy) Kirk, Wesley (Cindy) Boomershine, Thomas (Glenda) Boomershine, William (Julia) Boomershine, Melissa (Mike) Reimers, and Suzanne (Darian) Ascoli; 24 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren (with one on the way); sisters, Doris Barker, Helen Forsythe, Mildred Price, and Judy Stewart; good friend, Rick "Patches" Buchanon; beloved pet, Gordon; and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea. He was a member of the American Legion Post #322 and VFW Post #8066, and a life-time member of the AmVets Post #726. Boomer enjoyed fishing and mowing grass, whether it was his or anyone else's. He would help anyone. Boomer retired from Parker-Hannifin after 34 years of service.
