Jack Belcher,

Jack A. Belcher, Sr., age 85, of New Lebanon, OH, joined his Heavenly Father on Friday night, December 31, 2010. Born December 22, 1925 in Kegley WV, he was a son of the late Albert & Carmen (Spence) Belcher. A proud US Navy veteran of WW II, he retired as an automobile mechanic, having worked at several Dayton area GM dealerships. Member of First Baptist Church of Farmersville and member of American Legion Post # 762 of New Lebanon. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers Richard and Junior Belcher. Survived by wife Lena M. (Crotty) Belcher; children Judy Adams & husband Logan of New Lebanon; Jeanette Leaker & husband Jim of Waverly, OH; Jack A. Belcher, Jr. of West Alexandria, OH; Diana Dunlap & husband Jack of New Lebanon; Steve Belcher & wife Michelle of Byron, GA; and Terri Lynn Belcher of New Lebanon: grandchildren Michele & husband Dan, Carrie, Joe and Steffany & husband Soul: great granddaughters Chloe and Sofia: numerous nieces and nephews: and longtime friend Charlotte Williams. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, January 6, 2011 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria. Pastor Tom Vorhis presiding. Friends may call on the family from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veteran. Interment Forest Hills Cemetery.
