Ila Jo Emrick

Ila Jo Emrick, age 87, died at Kettering Medical Center on Tuesday, July 18, 2017. Originally from Anson, TX, she spent her entire adult life living in Farmersville, OH where she enjoyed her four generations of family members. Ila was preceded in death by her husband, William, also of Farmersville, and by her parents, Rice and Ida Mae Moss of Anson, TX. She is survived by her sister, Jewel Moss, formerly of Anson, TX, who is now residing at St. Leonard's Nursing Facility in Centerville, OH and by her sister-in-law, Rena Coate, of Pleasant Hill, OH. She is also survived by her four children: Janie (Rob Flynn) Kesling, Nicholas Emrick, Linda (Jim) Sexton and Dee (Michael) Chesney as well as her grandchildren Darren Kesling; Cassie, Kelly and Chelsie Sexton; Jason, Devin and Lindsay Holt; and Jordan Chesney. She was also blessed with five great-grandchildren, Hailey Crothers, Rose Ruxer, Cora Sexton, Izra Woodie, and Kylie Holt and with a great-grandson due to arrive in November. She also enjoyed her time with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Ila enjoyed spending time with her family and was an avid shopper and bingo player. She also enjoyed browsing at garage sales and was a member of the First Baptist Church of New Lebanon and the Farmersville Homemakers Club. The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 2:00 PM Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria.
