Henry L. Brannon

Henry L. Brannon, 79, of Vandalia, Ohio and 34 year resident of Eaton, Ohio passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning June 8, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. Born August 2, 1941 in Dayton, he was a son of the late William and Ovbie Julia Ann (Lacy) Brannon. A graduate of Lanier High School in Preble County, he worked 34 years for Delco Products (Delphi) in Dayton, retiring on August 1, 1999. He enjoyed detailing cars, keeping his yard looking nice, woodworking (making cabinets and furniture), and shopping at garage sales, thrift stores and antique markets. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother Harry Brannon in 1992; best friend and brother-in-law John Ashley; and his beloved dog Sadie. He is survived by his wife of 42 years Mary J. (Ashley) Brannon whom he married September 19, 1979; children Julia (David) Hemmert of Troy, Ova Lee (Christy) Ashley of West Alexandria, DD Cullers of Vandalia, and Cassie (Todd) Haynes of Eaton ; beloved papaw to Joel David Hemmert of Austin, TX, Katy (Brock) Dunlap of Dearborn, MI, Dillon (Taylor) Ashley of West Alexandria, Blake Ashley of New Paris, Beau Ashley of West Alexandria, Taylor Davis of Xenia, Izaak Nolan of Vandalia and Paisley Haynes of Eaton; great grandchildren Brody and Mack; and sister Betty Ashley of Springfield.
