Helen D. Strother

Helen Dorothy Strother, 88, peacefully went to be with the Lord, Friday, November 13, 2015. She is predeceased by her husband of 60 years, James Allen Strother. Longtime residents of Eaton OH, Helen and James retired to McAllen, TX. Helen returned to Ohio in May 2015, residing at The Barrington of West Chester. She is survived by her son Richard Strother (Rhoda), daughter Pati Root, and son Max Strother (Susan), Grandchildren Rachel Strother, Kelli Strother, Kim Gildea (Scott), Kevin Gerth (Holly), Joe Gerth (Marta) and Katie Lauer (Ben). Helen has 8 great-grandchildren, and is predeceased by grandson Kent Strother and son-in-law, Terry Root. Visitation and funeral will be at Robert Crooks Funeral Center 3377 US Route 35, West Alexandria, OH. 45381. Visitation Friday November 20, 1:30 - 3:00 followed with funeral service at 3:00. Graveside service immediately following at Preble Memory Gardens.
