Helen Kegley

Helen Kegley, 80, of West Alexandria, OH, passed into eternity on Monday night, February 22, 2016 following a lengthy illness. Born February 15, 1936 in Lee County, VA, she was a daughter of the late Earl & Alice (Freeman) Woods. Helen retired in 1992 from Heartland of Eaton after a total of 26 years, starting in the kitchen, laundry and housekeeping departments; and then as a State Tested Nurses Aide for 20 years. She was a member of the Preble County Senior Citizens. In addition to her parents, Helen is preceded in death by beloved husband John P. Kegley on May 14, 1992: granddaughter Gwendolyn Kegley: brother Bill Woods: and sister Sarah Mink. She is survived by children Alice Spitler & husband Bob of Eaton; Sandy Showalter & husband Rick of West Alexandria; Mike Kegley & wife Bonnie of Eaton; and Mark Kegley & wife Lilly of Tennessee: grandchildren Christopher Showalter, Krista and Joshua Kegley, and Alan Kegley: great grandchildren Joshua Graham and Grayson Showalter: and brother Jimmy Woods of Cincinnati, OH. Helen's family is honoring her request that services be private for her family only. Burial in Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.
