Harry W. Smith

Harry W. SMITH, age 59 of Brookville, Ohio passed away Thursday morning, September 24, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton, Ohio. Born September 16, 1956 he was one of three children and the only son of the late William and Barbara (Bowsman) Smith. Harry graduated from Dixie High School in 1976 and was a member of the Brookville AMVETS & VFW as well as the American Legion in New Lebanon, where he was a Sons of Auxiliary. He spent many years working at McMaken's supermarket in Brookville where he stocked shelves, and was a familiar face to the community. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Hazel L. Smith in 2012. Harry is survived by his sister Lori K. Smith of Brookville : Aunt Donna Hunt of New Lebanon: as well as numerous cousins. A Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, October 3rd, 2015 at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt 35, West Alexandria - Arrangements entrusted to the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center.
