Gregory Collins

Gregory A. Collins, 40, of West Alexandria, OH, died suddenly on Saturday afternoon, September 10, 2011. Greg was a son of Robert & Shirley (Lesh) Collins. He was a 1989 graduate of Dixie High School in New Lebanon and Montgomery County JVS HVAC program. For the last 2 years, he worked as Application Engineer for Innovative Energy Solutions and previously worked 5 years for Energy and Control Integrators and 13 years for Applied Mechanical Services. He coached boys football, baseball, soccer and basketball in West Alexandria; loved dirt bike riding, boating and water skiing; and played both lead and rhythm guitar in the band "Afflickshun". Greg attended the Community Christian Church in West Alexandria; was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post # 762 in New Lebanon; and member of the Preble County Pool League for 15 years. A loving and devoted husband, father, son and brother, Greg is survived by his wife and best friend Angela L. (Pack) Collins whom he married July 22, 1995; children Heather, Justin and Logan Collins: parents Robert & Shirley Collins of West Alexandria: brother Garry W. Murray, Jr. & wife Jennifer of Verona, OH: sister-in-law Julie Hill & husband Richard of Manchester, TN: nieces and nephews Melany, Tara, Michael and Mack: 2 great nieces and 1 great nephew: aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of close and important friends. Friends may call on the family from 5:00 - 8:00 PM Friday, September 16, at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, September 17 at Community Christian Church - 11 Dorsey Akers Dr. - West Alexandria. Pastor Doug Bottles presiding.
