Govenor "Buddy" F. Campbell

Govenor F. "Buddy" Campbell, 51, of Kettering, OH, passed into eternity suddenly on Wednesday, August 17, 2016. Born September 27, 1964, he was a son of Govenor F. & Rose M. (Phillips) Campbell. He proudly served with the US Air Force for 12 years; was a deputy sheriff in Tarrant County, TX and was a commissioned officer for Gallia County, OH. He also served as a firefighter in Aledo, TX, Trotwood, OH and Eldorado, OH. He traveled as an instructor for the National Law Enforcement Training Academy; was a licensed instructor for the NRA in both Ohio and Utah teaching CCW classes; was a volunteer Hunter Education Instructor for the Ohio Division of Wildlife; and was a former Commander of AmVets Post 24 of Dayton. Preceded in death by his father Govenor Campbell: step fathers Jim McBride and George Petitt. Buddy is survived by his wife Renee Durham: son Johnathan Morrison of Texas: daughter Hannah Nicole Williams of Texas: mother Rose M. Petitt of Missouri: brother Nathan McBride of New Carlisle; sisters Vada McCollough and Mickie McBride both of Texas: step mother Joyce Robie of Gallipolis, OH; and special friend Helen Crigler of Dayton; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, August 26, 2016 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria.
