Glenn Rodney Brickey formerly of New Lebanon OH, currently of Deland, FL passed away April 18, 2019 in Florida. He was born on February 14, 1959 and is the son of Glenn E and Bobbie J Brickey of New Lebanon. Glenn is a graduate of Dixie High School as well as Indiana State University where he graduated with honors and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Medicine. Glenn also attended Central Michigan University where he completed a Master's Degree in Exercise Science. Glenn celebrated 35 years of service to Stetson University in Deland Florida where he most recently served as Director of Sports Medicine. Glenn was involved in every sports program at some point in his career and remained committed to the health and safety of their athletes. He was the driving force in developing an Athletic Training major at SU where he served as mentor to many student trainers. Glenn was a member of the National Athletic Trainer's Association (NATA) and Athletic Trainers Association of Florida (ATAF). He was a Certified Instructor for the National Safety Council and also served as an adjunct instructor for Stetson's Department of Health Sciences. Glenn was an active member of Deltona Alliance Church, Deland Campus. In addition to his parents, Glenn is survived by his sisters Glenna Brickey, Sandy Mullins (Keith Mullins), and Andrea Hardebeck (Eric Hardebeck). Nephews include Benjamin Unger, Joshua Brickey, Chase Hardebeck, Kyle Mullins and Craig Cox; Nieces Erika Cox and Lauren Hardebeck as well as one great niece, Quinn Cox.
