Gerald William Miller, 93, of Eaton, OH, entered into eternity on Friday afternoon, April 14, 2017. Born May 26, 1923 in Eaton, he was the son of the late Chester L. and Harriett Fern (Heywood) Miller. A US Army veteran of WW II, Gerald was a 71 year member of American Legion Post 665 of West Manchester, OH. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge # 80 F & AM of Lewisburg, OH and the Royal Arch Scottish Rite. He retired on August 1, 1988 as a Millwright from General Motors Corporation in Vandalia, OH after 38.3 years of service. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers Glen, Gale (Juanita), Donald (Irene), Robert and James (Teddy) Miller; and sister Joann (Marion) Headricks. He will be greatly missed by his family. Left to carry on his legacy are his beloved wife of 73 years Kathryn Arline (Larsh) Miller, whom he married January 24, 1944: sons Gerald William "Bill" Miller and wife Carol of Centerville, IN; Gary L. Miller and wife Jessel of Napa, CA; Ronald A. Miller of Arcanum, OH: daughter Joyce A. Kilgore and husband Bill of Lewisburg: grandchildren Darci (David) Ames of Clarkton, MI; Travis (Christa) Miller of Vandalia; Jennifer (Gabriel Agbaike) of Dublin, OH; Angela (Joey) Rocket of Logan, OH; Ryan (Sarah) Miller of Napa, CA; Kevin (Jamie) Miller of Napa, CA; Ronald (Yuki) Miller of Germany; Carrie (Kyle) Steward of Farmersville, OH; Amber Kilgore of Richmond, IN; Rachel Kilgore of West Manchester, OH; Heather (Jesse) Brumbaugh of Arcanum; and Billy (Samantha Hilleary) of Eaton: great grandchildren Isaac, Ethan and Amelia Ames, Cameron and Brody Miller, Anna, Benjamin and Kaiti Miller, Kaili Miller, Derrick and Elo Agbaike, Zachary and Nathan (Clarissa) Kosnich, Aya Miller, Brooklyne and Dallas Steward, William, Autumn, and Gabriel Kilgore, and Taylor Kilgore; along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. The family wishes to thank grandson Billy Kilgore for taking such good care of him at home. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
