Gary Hake

Gary L. Hake, 66 of Eaton, OH, passed away Thursday morning January 5, 2012 at Reid Hospital in Richmond. Born in Rossburg, OH, he was a son of the late Andrew W. & Violet (Winkler) Hake. Gary worked as an owner-operator truck driver for 38 years, and over the years, formerly operated several car lots in Preble County. An historical car enthusiast, he was a former member of the "Over the Hill Gang" car club; and was a member of the Eaton Church of the Brethren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sister Carolyn Sue Elliott. Survived by wife Sharon R. (Hofacker) Hake whom he married April 7, 2001: children Joe Hake & wife Melissa of Eaton; Steve Hake of Eaton; Alivia Newman & husband Ray of Germantown, OH; and Jason Hake of Eaton: grandchildren Kara, Amanda, Alicia, Katelyn, Brandi, Bradley, Ashley and Kaitlyn: great grandchildren Koltlynn and Kaleigh: sister Dorothea Waggoner of Eaton: and brother Joe Hake of Eaton. Friends may call on the family from 5:00 - 8:00 PM Monday, January 9, 2011 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday at the funeral home with Gary's nephew Ed Horn presiding.
