Gary Hager

Gary L. Hager, age 61, of New Lebanon, OH, passed away Monday morning, October 11, 2010. Born December 10, 1948, he was the son of the late Wesley R. & Rose (Carruba) Hager. Gary served two tours of duty in Vietnam with the US Army's Armored Division. He retired in 1999 after 32 years with the Harrison Radiator Division of General Motors. Member of American Legion Post #215 of Eaton, OH and VFW Post #3288 of Brookville, OH. Survived by his beloved wife Linda S. (Winglewich) Hager, whom he married January 15, 1972: sister Patricia A. Dunwoodie of Eaton: paternal uncle and aunt Winford Hager of Xenia, OH and Marie Runda of Cincinnati, OH: maternal uncle and aunt Joe Carruba and Frances Dobos, both of KY: and various nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Friday, October 15, 2010 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH. Family friend Carl Westfall will preside. Friends may call on the family from 5:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. The Preble County Honor Guard will provide Military Honors at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, the Disabled American Veterans, or, American Legion Post #215. Interment Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.
