Frederick E. Jones

Frederick E. Jones, age 74 of Eaton, Ohio passed away Saturday afternoon March 21, 2015 at Grandview Hospital, Dayton ,Ohio. Born November 26, 1940 in New Paris, Ohio, he was a son of the late Seymour "Casey" and Jennie (Bradshaw) Jones. Frederick retired after over 33 years as a Crew Leader for The Preble County Highway Division. He attended the Gratis Church of the Brethren, and was an avid gardener, enjoyed farming, woodworking and took pride in raising his grand-daughters and "furry children" . He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, he will be truly missed. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother Bill Jones: sisters-in-law Bonnie Jones and Phyllis Jones and brother-in-law Joe Wethington. Frederick is survived by his wife of 34 years, Ellen "Jo" (Shanks) Jones whom he married April 27, 1980: children Fran and Bill Clark of Eaton; John and Tish Jones of Eaton: grandchildren Hannah and Keisha Clark of Eaton; Adaline Jones of Eaton and Ashley Smith of Eaton: brother Charles Jones of New Paris and sister Martha Wethington of New Paris: "Furry Children" Cinnamon, Lu and Bandit: as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral Services are to be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday March 25, 2015 at The Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center - 3377 US RT 35, West Alexandria - Pastor Shawn Wilges presiding.
