Frantz Hebbeler

Frantz C. Hebbeler, age 90, of Eaton, OH, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 2, 2012. Born in Richmond, IN, he was the son of the late Franklin G. & Gaynell E. (Frantz) Hebbeler. A US Army Air Corp veteran of WW II, he served with the 9th Airdrome Squadron in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Central Europe and Ardennes with 5 Bronze Stars. Frantz retired as the Chief Engineer Tech in the Aeronautical Research Lab at WPAFB after 32 years of service. After retiring, he later worked 12 years for the University of Dayton as an engineering consultant in the Physics Department. He was a private pilot since he was a young man, and was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church; Masonic Lodge 82 of Eaton: OES Chapter 182 of West Alexandria, OH; and was a 50+ member of American Legion Post #215 of Eaton. In addition to his parents,Frantz is preceded in death by wife Martha Jane Hebbeler in 1998; step mother who raised him, Willadean (Boomershine) Hebbeler: and sister Jean Petty. Survived by sons & daughters-in-law Paul & Shauna Hebbeler and Mark A, & Denise Hebbeler, all of Eaton: grandsons Jacob and Aaron Hebbeler: and sister Emma Lou Braun of Richmond, IN. Friends may call on the family from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM Friday, July 6, 2012 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria.
